San Antonio rapper, RNB.FOEMOB, has the internet buzzing with his open verse challenge to hit single, “Texas”.
Announced just 4 days ago, the challenge already has caught the attention of Texas Hip Hop legend, Lil’ Keke, out of Houston, TX.
In a video posted to Instagram, RNB.FOEMOB shared that Lil’ Keke was in the studio working on his verse, and in a second video recording a music video for it.
What is this challenge, you ask?
The challenge is to record a verse to RNB.FOEMOB’s song, “Texas, which dropped on March 19th. It already has over 120,000 plays on Spotify alone. He is asking artists to post it on Instagram and TikTok, and to tag him in it. Tagging is essential, as he may not see it if he is not tagged.
The winner will receive:

• Free promo
• Free collab post to promote the winning song
Although it is very clear that Lil’ Keke is not doing the challenge for the prize and is definitely doing it as a show of support for the new generation of up and coming rappers, it is a great show of sodality that exists and should exist more in Hip Hop…Legends leading the way and inspiring independent rappers to unite.
